Which Non-Volvo spark plugs for B230F?[ALL/1988] posted by R. Abel on

Have '87 740 and a '93 940 both with normally aspirated B230F. Both owners
manuals recommend Volvo Brand plugs. Would prefer a brand/type that I can buy
without travelling the 15 miles to the dealership. Plug #'s seem to vary
depending on which discount store I call. I assume Bosch plugs would be
acceptable. Standard or Platinum? Which plug #? Is some other brand better?

I have had good luck in my 85 744 with Bosch Platinum WR7DP,
and the gap is usually correct out of the package.
I replace at two years and about 25,000 miles, but they are likely
good for much more.
