With the help of a friend (I Hate exhaust work) we replaced the downpipe on my 88 745 non turbo. The rear gasket and collars were not a problem, but the collar on the cat converter had to be modified a bit to accept 9/16 bolts.
Question: The downpipe has a welded plate on the topside with a 1/4 inch threaded opening. What is this for? Also, what is the stud bolt size (mm)off of the manifold? Any help would be appreciated.
