JC Whitney sway bars[ALL/1988] posted by Thilo on

Has anyone experience with the JC Whitney sway bars for the 122 or P1800 ?
What diameter are they (front and rear)?
I saw them listed in the parts catalogue and wonder if they are a good alternative to the IPD set-up.

When I called JC Whitney to order their sway bars for my 71 1800E, I was told they no longer stock them, even though I continue to see them listed in the catalog. IPD front bar was a little short, so I ended up using the one someone else had already installed earlier, and using the IPD bushings. The rear bar (IPD) is a bit of a bear to install, but I found it more than worth the money.

Has anyone tried the swaybars from Paeco (Addco brand)? Cost is listed at $210 each bar, which I think is higher than ipd. Also, application is listed as "P-1800; '65-75." This doesn't make you real comfortable when thinking of ordering, as the models/years are screwed up. Might not make any difference. Front bars are 1 inch and rears are 3/4. Urethane bushings are available. What is the cost on the JC Whitney bars?
