Anyone familar with engine, transmission and coolant additives from Tribotech?
They are sold in Napa parts stores and are highly endorsed by auto radio and tv personalities, even Pat Goss on Motorweek.

This snake oil has been around for years and the "spokespeople" are paid for their "endorsements". Pat Goss owns a major shop in MD and like Rich Trethewey(This Old House) used to get his hand dirty but probably has not do so in 3-6 years!
EX:Rich Trethewey was a plumber and is now Pres/CEO of Tretherwey Heating/Cooling Inc. and has milliomns of $ contracts to maintain Harvard Univ. heating system! His firm is major impoorter of the "in floor" hot water systems he installs/promnotes on the show-I'm not saying that the system is not good just that he has his own "agenda".
With reference to oil additives, I spent 20 years doing TV/Film commercials and have seen the "spokesperson" endorse a product they had never seen/used because they made mucho bucks for their name! Now if Lycoming/Continental endorsed the stuff for their Airplane engines then maybe I would try it, but racing engines are torn down every week and rebuilt, independent labs have don lots of tests that show the stuff just doesn't work! The labs get paid same fee no matter what the answer they find!

With all due respect to him and his lineage, Pat Goss sometimes gives out bad and misleading information. Just because a person appears on TV does not an "expert" make.
Besides, he is a self-admitted Corvette Owner/driver. Maybe all that chassis squaking and creaking has dulled his senses!
