I am looking for place to buy a rebuilt carburator for my 1984 Volvo
240 DL. Does anyone know where I could buy one? The price of a new one is probably more than the car is worth.

Hi craig
You are right a new carb will cost a lot aprox 3 to 5 hundred dollars
canadian or more. ihave never seen a new carb sold for a volvo if the old one
is in any shape at all. it can be rebuilt as good as new for about 200 bucks canadian
just about any volvo shop will help you or if you want to do it your self its not that
hard. get your local dealer to give you a photo copy of the manuel.

If you are lucky enough to find parts in Canada, let me know. I've been tring for 5 months now and no dealer wants to help me with carb parts. I've got an 84 240DL wagon with a B21A SU Carb that sucks gas like a pig. I've asked about kits for them, but they tell me they don't exist and parts are rare and hard to find.
If you have any luck, please let me know.

vancouver, bc canada Phone # 604-532 1000 main switch board or 604 325 2999 for
parts dept. good luck Mocky
