Thanks again Don. I removed the weather stripping on the inside of the door.Used a large screwdriver to pry the lining off the door .Removed the lining -bottom first.Disengaged the lock motor linkage from the rest of the linkage .I could then open the door manually-the lock motor was stuck with rust.Used WD40 to free it but I will not replace the door lining until I get a new motor.

Good news! But that motor should be salvageable.

Even if not, be alert when you disassemble/reassemble those guys -- the little "rack"-like gear can go either way, and if you install it the wrong way, that door will be unlocking when all the others are locking -- and vica-versa.

(It took me three tries to figure this one out!) --
