Broken Stud Reverse Removal Set[200/1985] posted by Paul S. on

Several of you (and YOU know who you are, 'cause I wouldn't know you if I ran into you at Sears) have asked me what and where to get these "left handed, reverse backwards cobalt drill bits". You can usually get 'em at a local well stocked hardware kinda place. (Eagle in the NW has some). BUTT these are usually not Cobalt. And believe me, you may need cobalt for exhaust studs.
Anyhow a distributor joint; MSC Industrial Supply Co. has a set of 5 ea left handed Cobalt drill bits, and matched extractors (ugh!!) for $27.99. Pitch the extractors (just kidding) and use the bits. (Seriously, if the drill bit doesn't do it, that sucker is pretty stuck and putting the extactor in (and breaking it) may be hazardous to your mental health)
Just in time for Christmas!!
I have no affiliation with MSC (I receive the catalog at work!!)
