I just did this job on mine. The most important tool is probably spring compressors; and also potentially the most dangerous. An automotive machine may be the best choice for the springs. If you are going to do the shocks, you should do the ball joints, and tie rod ends, at the same time(not expensive, cheap insurance). If you do the shock job; Bilstein supplies a "wrench" with their shocks. When installing, be sure the threads on the nut do not bottom out in the tube. Yuo should have some thread(not a lot ) showing when you are done. Otherwise you are going to have to fiddle with spacers in the bottom of the tube before you insert the shock.
