ABS light[240-260/92] posted by paul on

My abs light turns on when on the interstate for 10 minutes. This car is new to me, so I don't know the history of the problem. If I drive for a while at sub 60mph, no light. Does anyone have a clue?

your conditions for light to illuminate would occur if you had a build up of metal brake pad filings on your front sensors or metal wear particles on rear diff housing speed sensor. The front sensors come out from behind where the steering rods attach to spindle. one screw (5 mm allen) secures them. The rear sensor is much the same but it is in diff cover.
