'88 gets my vote. Reliable, K- engine, improved wiring, fast (-er than my 86 or 91) handles superbly with KYBs ands IPD bars (91 feels heavy) with an M47 5-spd (yeah I've heard that one too) and damn, I'm sorry I gave it to my daughter. In my opinion, the newer normally aspirated 240s, after 86, are just nicer to drive thatn older normally aspirated ones. You might find a '91 with a manual tranny but I've yet to see a 92 or 93 with one.

stick with a 1988 or newer. pre 1988 had wiring problems. also in 1988 they went to engine diagnostics wit the flashing le.d. on a computer module. Mr. Tool...
