I've got a feeling that the bulb failure sensor that is clipped below the left rear taillamp under carpet is burned open. If your trailer wiring shorted, which it must have if you blew fuses, then the amperage shunt strip inside that unit used to check bulbs for operation by current draw comparison can burn through. It is a thin gauge strip of metal and i can't imagine it taking too much to burn it through. You can remove it and take it apart and see the damage if it in fact burned through. Is it under warranty?
