If you have a B21FT, there is only one engine harness. It has two firewall plugs on it - one for the main connector just above the intak manifold on the firewall, and one for the ECU located on the right side of the firewall.

If the wires on the firewall side of the connector are also deteriorating, then you need to make repairs using new pigtail pieces from Volvo and splice them in to the original wires close to the firewall. On the right side connector, you should be able to pull some cable out form the firewall to get good clean wire to splice to. Note the warning about the connections for the control pressure regulator on the new harness - you may have to swap the leads in the connector - if so, do it before yo install the new harness!
