I think I solved the problem, so I'll post it here as a matter of record:

While clamping down the new lines I installed to and from the charcoal cannister in the evaporative emissions system, I inadvertantly pinched both closed. After reading my manual twice, I'm still a little fuzzy on how the valve on the top of the cannister works, but I'm guessing that blocking the lines "air bound" my fuel injection system in some way.

My 240 did the same thing when I replaced the C.I.S motor. What I found to be wrong was that I hit one of those wires that connects to the starter motor. So make sure you have all the wires going to the starter. There are three. Check your mirco switch on the throttle body make sure its clicking when throttle is moved. Hope I helped. Mark
P.s. I took my canister off my Brick and plug the holes in the intake, it runs alot smoother.
