I have just purchased an S70 T-5 and I would very much like to hear reviews from other S70 or 850 turbo owners who have installed the computer upgrade or high flow exhaust from ipd, or any other engine enhancements from ipd or any other company. Please reply here or by e-mail. Thanks in advance.

Ira, there are a couple of chip setups from IPD (TME's Chipset) and BSR Sportsman that can boos the mill to 305hp (BSR). IMHO the IPD set up has better support than the BSR product line. (BSR has no US rep as of this writing).
Both firms offer exhaust mods and maybe BSR has a wider selection than IPD(TME).
I have added BSR Sportsmans web address below

There are some other options for chip sources as well. In addition to IPD, BSR, and Group 6, Martin Motorsports, Inc also has a variety of chips for the 850/70 series turbos. MMI has three chips for the T-5 engines. The top one is around 335hp and is actually very streetable. I have driven a car with this chip - requires an upgraded exhaust - and it acts very much like a standard chip until you put your foot in it. Then it will even surprise a corvette off the line. And the shifts are smooth - I found them even better than the stock shifts. They also have chips in the 280 and 250 hp range (all dyno tested). With the front wheel drive, 280hp is about all you can put to the pavement without spinning a tire, but the higher hp is useful in the 40+ mph range for acceleration. You can contact Martin Motorsports at: (703) 534-9860.
Another source for chips and other Volvo stuff is Team Evans Motorsports in Australia - however, like BSR, they do not have US outlet.
And on an unrelated topic - I saw an English version of the SAM (Stefanson Automotive in Sweden - the Volvo R-Sport folks) catalog last Saturday - just came out!

Steve, any idea on how to get that SAM catalogue you refer to?
