83 Volvo GLT Turbo Fuel Cut Off on Initial Start[ALL/1998] posted by Tom Yeh on

Hello Guys,
Got a question on 83 Volvo GLT Turbo. When the car initially starts. The call seems to stall/retar in motion if I give more gas & would like to accelerate faster... However, after the engine temperature warms to normal. It donesn't have that problem any more. It seems to happen when the engine hits about 3000-3500 Rpm while the turbo boost is going past the mid yellow portion o fhte turbo boost guage. Is it due to the fact that the fuel/air mixture is too thin or is it because the fuel was shot off by the turbo over boost regulator (I seem to recall reading about those) What would be the solution for that? If I nne d to adjust anything, where are the adjustments located at & how do I do it? Thanks. Feel free to reply to me via email or phone at 510-276-8999.
Best Regards,
Tom
ps I also use regular unleaded gas.
