Are you talking about Volvo Limo? Like in Arlanda, Stockholm airport? Yes - few came here and Swedish Embassies had them in many countries. There's one for sale in Los Angeles for $ 18 000 USD. Very optimistic fellow but you never know....Could be a nice car with V8 !

Hi Topi
Yes it is a Limo. Well, a volvo limo. It is 5 meter and 50 cm long. A bit shorter than the us limo's. But a much more rare car. The one we got hold of had a bad case of rust, so we are changeing most of "floor". But there is very little pic. of the details on this modell. Any one..?

I found an ad for " '79 Volvo 264 Limo for Sale, $ 15 000". Haven't talked to them yet. (no answer). If they have some information and I'm able to get it, I'll send it to you. 20 years ago I helped Swedish fellow to smog and DOT certify similar limo. Came from Stockholm. This could be the same car! Huddinge taxi (just outside of Stockholm) bought all same type Limos from SAS in 1983-85. SAS had about 20-25 of them, and many drivers were Ladies! Good PR for SAS. SAS doesn't have limo service anymore but you may find an old limo manager and find out some of their cars in Sweden. You may wanna call to Huddinge taxi Co, too (if they still arel in business...) We have some US built '83-92 760 Limos with bar, video, etc. Prices are usually $ 6500 - 20 000. Cars I've seen are pretty much trashed if used commercially and they newer were engineered like Swedish Kalmar built limos. PS. I'm in Los Angeles.

Hi Topi
Well you seem to be a little bit informed on this mod. Well the 264 te that we bought in sweden. Feb. 1996, it has been standing by itself for a while. Now we are begining to weld it together. The history for this car is as follows.
It was bildt in the factory in Laholm 1982. Buildt for the swedish army. So this car was specialy bouild for them. The army had the car from 1982 to 1992. In this while car had been badly handeled. A lot of rust, been smash from all sides at least once it each corner. Then it was just as a res. taxi for a year. And the year before we bought it it had been just as a ordernary car.

We gave about 3000 dollars for it. Luckely the inter. looks new. blue plysh. very strong material. So we have to the summer to get it thogether. Oh yes, we have to use a norwegian front...because of the taxes..If we imported it as a hole car, the tax alone would come to over 12.000$...So we took it in as a parts car. About 500 $ in tax..

I hope to hear from you again

Drive safely
Svein A. Strande

Hi! Went to see Limo. It's a typical American "chop-shop" convertion. Works fine on full frame cars but shouldn't be done on unibody. It's almost 4 feet longer and has a bar, divider window and 2 jump seats in the back. No reinforcement under, not even double rocker panels! Looked really nice, though, exept I don't like padded roof and door frames. Would never pass tough Scandinavian safety inspection! She's asking $ 15 000. My estimate for the value is $ 6500-7500. If you want, email me your mailing address and I'll mail you a picture of it. Good luck with yours! PS. I thought limos were built in Kalmar?
