Fuel Lines[ALL/1998] posted by Mark Erickson on

First off, Thanks for all the advice everyone has given me in the
past few months. The cold running problem was really starting to get
irritating. I changed the Fuel Filter and added a heater box to the Exhaust
manifold. The car started up fine this afternoon after sitting for two days
but now the fuel lines at the pump are leaking. They are a stiff plastic
and when I was fighting with the old filter I broke the end of the line off on the old filter. Is there a way to splice a rubber fuel line to this
plastic junk or because of the fuel pressure to you need to use the plastic
stuff. Mine is kind of brittle.. Would any auto parts store have this or do I have to go back to the dealer. I have never seen fuel lines like this before.
Any Help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mark Erickson

You can get this fitting from the dealer for about $25 or so. I certainly wouldn't try to repair this since the correct fix is reasonably priced.
