CD changer?.. for V70 AWD[ALL/1998] posted by Jerry Vandermarel on

I would like to install a CD changer but don't want to pay the high price from the Dealer. I have been told that the factory unit is an Alpine. Can anyone verify this? Do I need an adapter or will it plug right into the factory cable?

Jerry,

your sound system is an Alpine system made for Volvo. You can purchase a CD Changer Adaptor from the below link to their web site.
If you have any questions they have provided you with an E-mail address.
The company is called Peripheral Interface.

I think you will require the VOL815 adapter for 96-98' Volvos with the
following radio units (CHA-S601, S604*)

*Note: this requires the KCA130B harness adapter and switch changer to standard
setting.

Good Luck!
