I have a 1982 DL wagon. I am interested in adjusting the front and rear brake band on the automatic transmission. Can anyone tell me how to go about doing it. I believe its a Borg Warner 55 - it has no overdrive capability and is a 3 speed.

There are no bands to adjust on a BW 55. The older BW 35 does have bands, but on the 55 there are only clutch packs. If it is slipping, it needs a rebuild- I know this from experience!
