Clearcoat removal from alloy rims[ALL/1998] posted by Bob Coates on

Can anyone suggest a good method of clearcoat removal for alloy rims? I have one wheel which has lost a good portion of the clearcoat and I feel would look a lot better if I could get it all off.

Thanks.

I've seen some clearcoat remover stuff in the Eastwood catalog I think. Check at a parts store or something because I know there are products out there specifically for this purpose.
