in our two volvo family(`81 dl & `82 245gl) my wife`s `81 dl is getting very poor gas mileage despite a fairly recently tune-up. it also idles roughly which is a pain in city traffic. our mechanic has suggested that the stromberg carb needs a rebuild-the car has 180k miles on it. however, i`ve heard from another mechanic that in the long term that it`s not really worth doing a rebuild. does anyone out there have any suggestions? thanks in advance ! richard
