limited slip diff. for 122S[ALL/1998] posted by Remi Van Audekercke on

I am searching for a limited slip diff. for my '67 122S.
Since there aren't many around I wonder if it is possible to use one of
the 140 series. Is there a solution to make the bolt pattern of the 140's
discs fit the wheels of a 122S ?

Volvo used to have these but it's the harderst to find. LSD is the same as 140-240 series but with 10 axle splines. Cross shafts are usually broken if you find one and nobody has any repair parts. Go for '70- up P1800E/ES axle. It's bolt-on to your car. To change a bolt pattern you must weld holes blind a drill 4.5" bolt pattern holes. Not so easy to do. Get front hubs & brakes fron the same P1800 E/ES and use 4.25" wheels. Front end parts are "bolt-on".
