I just purchased an '82 Volvo 242DL and it has a chrysler ignition system. I want to convert it over to Bosch ignition, has anyone done this and it is a difficult process. What parts will I need to purchase or scavenge from other Volvos. Thanks in advance for the help.

You will need a distributor, coil, ignition module, ballast resistor, and wiring harness. You will have to hook up the vacuum advance hose to the appropriate source which is probably pluggged or may have to be drilled, tapped, and a fitting installed.
