Any words of wisdom? On McBrooms Volvo Page I learned that the 88 - 93 B230FT "K" engine is well thought of. I have been into Volvos for 30 years and justs sold my 5th one. Don't want the dealer overhead and am looking for a 93, 94 or 95 945T. Does this have the old B230FT engine. What should I look out for?

The 93-95 B230F/FT engines have all the improvements made to them to address all minor annnoyances that B230F/FT have ever had...1)Oil cooler jets under pistons 2)improved tolerances to lower cold piston rattle 3) freeze plugs that are the cup type to lessen chance of leakage compared to concave type. Don't hestate to buy one of those year models.
