86 240 - R12 to R134 Conversion[ALL/1998] posted by jb still on

Belatedly saw a posting from May 12 about R12-R134 conversion...

Just had it done this week.

Total cost $222.

Busted hose $21 (the reason for the repair) Evacuate & recharge $49 R12/R134 conversion kit $45 (for Kiki/Diesel compressor) Conversion kit labor $15 42 ounces of R134 @ $2/ounce $84 tax 8

---- total $222

Does not get quite as cold as fast as the R12, but beats nothing.

Work done by Quality Auto Tune, Vallejo, CA

BTW -- replacement R12 was quoted at $4/ounce.

Regards, <J>
