towing, total weight & tongue weight[ALL/1998] posted by Phil Arnold on

I'm thinking of buying a trailer to tow with my '95 850. It, like all Volvo's for the last 20 or more years is rate to tow 3500 lbs. and has a tongue weight of 200 or so lbs.

I would like to hear of any towing experiences which can be shared. How much will a Volvo tow realistically? Tongue weight? I want to be able to drive without the trailer jerking or otherwise making the trip uncomfortable.

Thanks for any real world experiences.

Phil Arnold
