Does anyone have a problem with the center console in the way of the throttle side leg, I bet if I got in an accident the darn thing would break my leg, I can use my ankle muscle and keep my leg away from the edge but get fatigued any suggestions? on how to work with this car?

Pete, I'm 6'5" and I have also noticed a dearth of leg room in the 240s. Not only do the seats not go back far enough (and I thought Swedes were supposed to be tall), but you're right, it's not wide enough either. This is one of the main reasons I've never moved up from my 122 to the 240 series. But considering what's inside the console (heater and electrical switches), I don't think there's anything you can do about it.---Brian

Pete, Have you tried adjusting the angle of the drivers seat via the two adjustment point handles under the drivers seat? I found that on long drives the position of my hips in relation to right leg/ankle could bring my foot/ankle in contact with console near heater core. When I adjusted the seat angle along with the height and the problem dissappeared. Check your manual for location of adjustment points. Stoney X78 245DL X79 245DL X82 245DL 90 240DL
