I have been working on my '68 142 that has recently received an engine from a 72. The engine in Betsy is now a B20F (bosch d-jetronic fuel system). Last week, I oredered some parts for it from a favorite local dealer (Borton) and they let me down.

I ordered a ditributor cap, rotor, condensor and points.

The distributor cap turned out to be the wrong model.

Of course, I would just take in the one that I am replacing to get the right one, but I have a suspicion that some of my problems are resulting from having the wrong ignition parts.

The good people at Borton could not figure out which distributor belonged on my car. What next? I am going to try IPD and I expect results, but I would appreciate any tips.

Also, does anyone out there have or know where to get a Pressure Sensor for a d-jet. It must be an exact match. I'll post the part number later.

My distributor, according to Haynes, # is: Bosch JFURX4

I want this baby running for Spring.

Thanks, -jarrod

Jarrod, I have a Bosch parts catalog. It's only 2 years old, so it should be right. It says the rebuilt distributor number (for the '72) should be ID30X, new is 0 231 163 021. The cap for that distributor is 03 005. Any other questions, please e-mail me. I don't know if I'd trust those Haynes numbers. Bosch has changed their numbering system on certain products. ---Brian
