This past summer I decided to install a small block V8 in my 1982 242DL. I went to the factory in Sweden (via ferry ride from Germany) in January, 1982 to take delivery of this car. Over the years it has provided reliable service, but balked at towing my 18' ski boat u and down the hills of eastern Georgia. After studying this project for several months I decided to install a Ford Mustang 5.0 H.O. V8 with a Ford T5 World Class manual transmission. Now, 10 months and 12,000 miles later I am sure I did the right thing. If anyone out there is interested, I'll gladly provide additional information about this project.
