The reason you were unsuccesful is that the end product, the file you attempted to view traveled through too many filters. The program you used to download it assumed that because it could not display it, or otherwise make sense of it, that it was enco ded and most likely attempted to decode. At any rate, crucial information was filtered out by the time you got it. This is why we stick with JPEG and GIF and binhex, zip and so forth. These travel through the pipe with the right amount of grease so to spe ak.
Wayne, if your Photoshop does not have the 'exorpt to GIF' option, you can get the plugin free on the net. Go to 'shareware.com' or 'jumbo.com.'
