'89 740 brake noise[ALL/1998] posted by Jim Ray on

I have a '89 740 Turbo Wagon - great shape 105,000 miles - new break pads all the way around last fall at 85,000 miles.

I encounter some jingle sounds on low speeds (up to 45 miles per hour) on rough city streets.

The jingle jangle sounds stop whenever I place any preasure on the break pedal.

My dealership says the break calipers are "loose", nothing to worry about. They said the only way to fix it is to install new calipers.

The noise is driving me nuts - any suggestions?
