Can anyone please tell me how much larger a wheel and tire I can put on a 1998 V70 T-5? I have been told that 215/40 17" is the maximum. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

I'd recommend you stay within the guidelines as outlined by Volvo while your car is still under warranty. Beyond that, however, you might want to do like I did -- I found a tire/wheel dealer who is willing to try different tire and wheel widths to see what the maximum is with my car. In fact, it was his idea. I'll be going with either TSW, Smiths, or Allesio wheels -- probably the latter if he can get them with the right offset. Once we've obtained the wheels, we'll probably start at 225's and move backward if they rub anywhere.
