The engine in my 1983 760GLE - (automatic) is starting to make some loud clicking sounds -- I suspect the cam / valves. It is likely just a matter of time before it goes.
Instead of rebuilding this one, I was considering a swap with another year 760 or perhaps a 740. Perhaps even an engine and transmission swap.
Has anyone done this before or have knowledge of a swap that would work? Or do you have any other suggestions?

I've purchased an 85' 760 GLE with auto 6 cylinder. The Guy who had it last blew the 6 banger and so I purchased it and replaced it with a 4 cylinder B-23. If you require details of the engine swap please find below the guy's E-mail address below. I've not driven the car yet because I'm still waiting for bodywork and a new paint job on it!
