245 DL Wagon Fuel Distributor[ALL/1998] posted by Jacob Beeson on

I've got a 245 DL Wagon that was given to me by a long time friend/neighbor. Needs a fuel distributor, which I found for $125, used with a 90 day warranty. The car is dent and rust free, the odometer reads 044646. I'd like to fix it and sell it. Questions are thus: How difficult is it to fix that fuel distributor (I've been fixing VWs for 7 or 8 years)? Also, there are a bunch of burned wires coming from the fire wall up to a melted unit of some sort that sits behind the right headlight in the headlight. What is this monster and where are the wires from? (they appear to come right across the top of the engine). Anything particular that I should know about this model or about the B20 engine, this being my first Volvo. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
