I missed the broohaha as to why you are abandoning ship from your d/tronic
system. I was remembering some time ago I had a d-tronic syastem give me fits, and i mean grand-mal. not just twitches, TYhe motor idled rough , wouldn't hold a decent idle,.
I made blowups of schematics, at one time i knewe just about every color af wiorer and termination and origin in a 164E
A friend of mine suggested I replace the injection system with carburetors, (i had two sets of 175cds, from a previous parts car.
this whole thing had taken seven months,i even relented and took the car to a premier repair place, and they couldn' figure it out,
To make a really long and sad story, after i had practically remanufactured the car, the light came on, and I actually wept ( my wifw thought i had snappeds)
and called a clergy friend of ours, well What the car originally needed as i found out when i pried off the intake exhaust manifold gasket, yep the gasket was bad and the manifold pressure was unstable.
Iffen you want to swap parts. i have lots of junk,what do you ned ?
