Mike, check the antenna connection, it might be not filly inserted in the proper orientation or has been pulled out partway by snagging on a control cable or part of the harness.

In terms of "not locking onto a station" do you mean during the SCAN function or just in general...IE You set it to 102.7FM and it drifts?

Sounds like it probably the antenna connector...If its too short a 12" etension is available at most auto radio places.
