Thanks Guys, So far I've done "all the above" finally changed the computer to one that I've used before with only slight change. This morning I did a compression check, it's down some from new of course but still even, dry and wet. Next step I will try a new fuel filter. All this time I'm still hearing the fuel pump louder then usual and that was the first thing changed. Anyway with the other computer it goes from 800 rpm to 1300 or so rpm and back every minute or two. Maybe if is gets bad enough I'll find the promlem. I'll post a message as we go. I start a new job on Monday, so I might not work on it alot for awhile. Also, it's my understanding that with our new "Smog Check II" here in California it will be difficult to pass without fuel injection. It seems that they want to get all the pre-1988 cars out of the state or off the road. I saw a news report two years ago that said that; "To many cars were passing the smog check on the first try." Will maybe most of us are just keeping our cars and trucks in tip top shape.
