Okay, I'm on my third 200 series car. Yep, they sure are safe...EXCEPT:

My kids are scared. I just bought YET ANOTHER 244 in which the rear belts refuse to unspool. They're both stuck with about 12" of slack.

Is there a reasonable fix for this, other than dealer parts? All the junkyard 240's have this problem as well.

Oh yeah, I've looked at this, and I can't even figure out how to get the cover off, so true, idiot-proof, step-by-step instructions would be swell.
