Servicable 262 right side strut tube?[ALL/1998] posted by Jim Ells on

FLASH: does anybody have a source for a servicable 262C right side strut tube? Apparently, Les Schwab's guys are choking on the price and delivery schedule for a new one. Already tried Aurora, Northern European Automotive Recyclers (Seattle), RPR, IPD, American Auto (Tacoma), and a couple of other locals.
Appreciate any help-Thanks in advance. Jim Ells/Silverdale, WA/79' 262C

This should be the same as 240, correct? Try Canadian junkyards or Bernards (south Seattle).

You might try Voluparts in Atlanta (404-352-3402). They're a serious recycler and I've generally have good luck with them.

Jim--I would check and make sure that a 240 series tube will work. I think it will. I would check at John's Import Auto Parts in Portland. They are a real class operation. I have had very good luck there and their counter guys are knowledgable and fair. I wouldn't go to Northern European on a bet. Anthony is a *&+%##. Good luck and good hunting.
