I am desperately searching for two center covers for wheels which were on my '80 262c when i bought it. The wheels were manufactured by SEIM of Italy and sold by ipd. Unfortunately ipd no longer sells the wheels and I cannot locate SEIM or anyone who has ever heard of them. Any help is hugely appreciated.

Hey what do your wheels look like I also have an 80 bertone, and 81 bertone.
A friend of mine has 3 bertones? Maybe we can help.

The wheels in question are an aluminum aftermarket wheel. They have a five spoke design. The center cap is shaped like a star with the points clipped off flat. In the center of the plastic cap is a convex disc with either a stylized "S" or an 'ipd' logo. I have only seen one other set of these wheels, oddly enough on another 262c. They are not just for 262 models; I'm sure they would fit any 200 series. I would really like to find some replacements as the wheels complement the car nicely. The idea of Italian wheels on the bertone seems appropriate. The wheels are 16" and rather wide. The car has been lowered, so they are really stuffed up into the wheel wells. I will gladly grovel for leads on finding these babies.

Hey man I know what wheels you are talking about. Those wheels are cool - I remember them on a lowered dk blue 740 in the ipd catalog about 5-6 years ago. Dirk, you don't have these wheels and niether does anyone else that Dirk or I know of. As for locating some, I would contact ipd and get info on the manufacturer and call the manufacturer directly -- they might still produce the wheel or have replacement parts.
