Does anybody has a torque spec. for Differential Drain Plug? (740 - though the model shouldn't make much difference).

One left-handed grunch should do it... if you're right-handed. If you're left handed, then the opposite would apply.

Would that be a metric grunch or an SAE grunch?

That is an NPT pipe plug so an SAE grunch is in order here. If you crank too hard you can screw that thing all the way through the hole if the gears don't stop you first.
