I'm looking for various things for my '72 142 which I am slowly restoring. I need a good service manual (Volvo factory manual?) and a line on a new wiring harness(B20F). I'm also looking for new body rubber & trim. Thanks to anyone who can help me.

I believe the Haynes manual would be the best shop manual for your car. The J.C. Whitney mail order company has a lot of generic rubber weatherstripping. Call for their catalog at 312-431-6102. Boston Volvo Village parts department (1-800-336-2355) might be the best place to look for items unique to the car. Ask for John Sharisky. For used parts, try Hirsch (1-800-544-4517). -Glenn.

I bought new weatherstripping for the top of the doors (bottom of windows) for my 1971 144 from:

GRIPPY RUBBER PRODUCTS
SHOP 12/ KLEINS RD
NORTHMEAD NSW 2152
AUSTRALIA

Ph: 61 2 9683-3407

It cost about $30 Australian ($1 Aus = US 65 cents) for 2.5 metres (around 8 ft)
