an Apology and Happy Xmas[ALL/1998] posted by Stoney on

To Jarrod and Fellow Brickheads,
I just wanted to apologize for not being around for a few weeks- a family illness and Xmas has my time pretty much taken. I'm telecommuting from N.Fla and things are not helped by an isp that can give me 9600k at best!
Jarrod-As one of the original group I feel that I can say that you should be proud of your creation. The sense of esprit de corps and "Move your butt and gimme that wrench" attitude is what separates the Brickboard from the rest. I can give an example by relating the following:
While here in N. Fla for the past 2 weeks I had the occasion to stop off at the local Volvo dealership and while waiting heard the parts manager telling a customer about a "Fantastic new web site I discovered-it's called the Brickboard and you wouldn't believe just how much info they have available!" Keeping my smile to a minimum I audio voyurered onward to hear..."Yeah, the response time is amazing and the solutions are much better than you get from VCNA! Hell, my top VISTA guy gets all his quick answers there!"
Mom came out of her coma Xmas morning at 7:45 and the Rednecks of N. Fla monitor the Brickboard!
Ain't life grand!!!
Happy Xmas to all and see ya in the New Year!

Kinda makes you wonder about those "My wife's car..." postings doesn't it. I wonder how many of those are techs looking for help. At least they've come to the right place. Thanks to one and all for the knowledge shared with the board. Though I have little use for this info at the moment (knock wood], I follow most threads with hopes that all problems will be solved with the minimum of skinned knuckles and greased T-shirts. May the patron Saints of rapid acceleration and positive braking be with you all in the new year. Thanks Jarrod.
