Suggestions! Front Cntrl arm bushing replacement '87-245DL[ALL/1998] posted by Mr. Tool on

I'm going to replace the 4 front control arm bushings on my 1987 245 DL.
177,000. miles. I have Volvo, Haynes, and R. Bentley shop manuals.
Any tips or secrets out there I should be aware of. Happy Holidays. Mr. Tool

Hey, while you're at it, I have an '86 245 with 177K on it as well. The sterring is getting, well, weird. Lots of play in the road and it seems like the whole damn car just wants to sway all over the road. Yes, the alloy wheels should be replaced because they are pitted on not holding beads on the tires all that well, but the sway I describe seems to come from the front end. Are control bushings (or whatever it is you're putting in) a worthwhile and non-expensive thing to replace. Any comments are welcome and appreciated.
