My 71 142E has been thru multiple modifications prior to living with me. However, I'm having a difficult time finding a replacement switch to enable the back -up lights to work. Also , recent electrical system shutdown when the high beam switch was engaged. It had been modified with a cotter pin by the previous owner. Elec. system all checked out .,except for short in fuel inj. syst.? Any suggestions RE: switch replacement or repair? There is also an extra relay in the circuit for the starter, should I take it out of the loop ? All help appreciated . thanks , Les.
