I have searched thorugh the manual for which line on
the tag plate under the hood and cannot figure out
which one (line) is for interior color. Is it two,
three, four... or more digits? I just call my
interior leather charcoal, and dash and doors dark
grey. But I need to know the color code to order a
set of cup holders that are supposidly matched to
Volvo's interior with the correct code.

Also I have been told that the center console found
on 1997 ( I don't know about 1996) models that are
cushioned/padded leather on top and contain a
pull/slide out cup holder below cannot be installed
in place of my thin, hard, non-upholstered center
console cover. It really is not even an arm rest
because it is so low and thin. Being 6'2", I really
like the fact that the "newer" style is higer,
closer to the highth of the door arm rest, padded,
and has a piece of leather atop it, rather than
plastic. It looks as though both styles share the
same "bolt on" pattern and the hinge looks as if it
is the same. If anyone has experience on this It
would solve me having to purchase additional cup
holders and I would have a better, higher, more
comfortable arm rest. As always thanks for all of
