Need alloy "spoke" wheels....bad....[ALL/1998] posted by Paul Seminara on

Folks,

I hate to beg, but....

I need one or two (or a set of four) stock Volvo "spoke" alloy wheels for
the 1981 262C (25 spoke? 24? 26?) Please let me know if anyone has some
(one) for sale. I'll pay...

I removed old dead tires from the wheels today and began major wheel clean
up. One has a noticeable dent (Can you say "flat spot"? I knew you could.).
Others are just filthy and very curbed. Indeed one has a major layer of
iron oxide from driving without a brake pad.(Can you say "major work and
modern chemistry?" I knew you could.)

262C News

Finished the rear seal job...not bad.........great experience....refilled
rear end with Redline 80W140 synthetic. New parking brakes in.

Front bearings in....and greased with Mobil Synthetic grease....same grease
as rear bearings....

Anyhow all new brake components in with home rebuilt calipers and IPD
stainless hoses..butttttttttttttttttt no rotors yet. Can you say "UPS
victim"? You better....oh sorry....no victim mentality allowed. Car still
on stands!!! (due to UPS...I mean Teamsters)

Please send wheels for cash!!!! (OK a check)

Thank you

Hi Paul;

If you cannot locate a set or two of those Volvo alloy wheels may I suggest
that you try to get your sets repaired. The below web site might be of some help.
They can locate those hard to find alloy wheels for sale!

I hope this is of some help!

Regards,

Henry.
