I have an 87 245DL (at least that's what it should have been called. I have the IPD catalogs. They offer stiffer springs and sway bars. I have found no cams, manifolds, chips, etc.
Do such performance kits exist?

Hersch, There ain't a whole lot of aftermarket engine toys for the B230F. You can replumb the exhause with the IPD freeflo kit(3-8HP), put in a K&N filter(1HP), and if your really into self abuse you can try and replumb your B230F to be a B230FT. There are a few tweeks but no "CURE" that adds 60HP in 10 min like the 850 kit.
By the way the 200 series had no need for a "chip". Volvo never used a chip setup in the 240 that would benefit from an upgrade.
Now the 850 kit is sumthin else, again!

Get a K grind cam from Canada. We have one that is being installed in a 1985 245DL with an early B230F engine (same motor as yours)
