touch up paint question[ALL/1998] posted by Nick Gidakos on

Hi everybody,
I have a 1995 Volvo 850GLT and I was wondering if I can get touch up paint for it. I was wondering where can I find the paint code for it and if there are sources I can buy it from at a decent price. I have acouple place on the fron spoiler to touch up and the top of the rear wheelwell has a red mark from some idiot that had the &*#@#@@ red car next to me at the Mall. I now look where I park. I only do when there are decent carrs next to me. (I guess I should have done that when the car was 3 months old- it happened at that time.
Thanks
Nick

PS: I was going to sell this car but not anymore.

Your owner's manual should describe the location of the plate that lists the paint code, among other things.
What made you want to sell this car in the first place?

I asked my dealer about touch up paint and he GAVE me a tube of it. My dealership wants to see happy customers. They are always concerned about how we'll rate them if Volvo calls on a warranty repair follow up.

Nick, drive your 850 to your nearest Volvo dealer, who will be happy to point out the location and content of you paint code, and provide you with an exact match touch up, either brush-on or spray type. Both are available, and are of good quality. The brush on, depending on color, will often come with a clear coat bottle as well.
