BN, Been There, Done That, Was Kicking Myself In The Ass The Entire Time. You need 2 people to handle removal and reseating of new glass, I rented a couple of big suction cups from glass outfit, that helped. The black sealant is really touchy, no fun if you screw up-it sticks to everything. My advice is to go to a pro, pay the bucks and get a leak warranty. Most places will install a windshield they did not supply and they have the wickedest tools to do the job!

Don't do it! The risks are amazing. I've tried several times (once on my car, twice with friends' cars) and it's a MESS. The parts just aren't precise enough for it to be a pop-in job. It's a pain. One slip and it's over. Go find a gypsy auto glass man if you must save money. Or buy used. Pay for the install so they take the risk, not you.
